2009 RED FIREBALLS GAME RECAPS

Game #1 Saturday 4/25/2009
The A Ball RED FIREBALLS started off their season strong today . Everyone on the team did their best to listen and pay attention to every pitch during the game. Defensively the fireballs made several outs at First base and a force play at second. Every player got several hits during the day and not one player struck out.
It was K.C.'s birthday. The whole team serenaded K.C. after the game.
Happy Birthday Big Guy.

Game #2 Sunday 4/26/2009
The Red Fireballs came out swinging against the talented Wild Dogs. Al the boys put the bat on the ball and made several force outs on the bases. the player of the day was Daniel Hernandez. Daniel was playing shortstop and took a ground ball right in the eye. He was stunned and hurt . With everyone around him there to see if he was OK Daniel stood up, put his cap back on straight, wiped the dirt off of his face and said, "I am OK coach." With that Daniel finished the rest of the game. Way to go Daniel, nothing can stand in your way.

Game #3 Monday 4/27/2009

The Fireballs had some big hits today by Ralphie , Michael and Daniel. Anthony, Ethan, Justin, KC, Brendan, Russell, Frankie, Catherine and Matthew all had hits too. Everyone ran the bases and scored big runs. The player of the day was Russell Convery who was hit in the nose by a pitched ball. Russell went down but not for long. Later in the same inning he returned to the game to get a hit and run the bases. Way to go Russell, you showed a lot of determination.

The fireballs were also all types of ready in the field. In addition to being ready Freddy, they were ready eddie, ready steady and ready spaghetti. No one wanted to be ready Betty but who could blame them.
