2008 Oceanside High School
Varsity Players - Ex Stallions:
Coach Bart Hose He played football at Oceanside High School in the mid-late 50’s... He had the opportunity to go play football for Notre Dame (yes, THE Notre Dame), but felt he had to serve his country and joined the Navy... Coach Hose served the Stallions as President, Board member, and Head Coach through the 70’s into the early 80’s... He came back to coach one last season, from his wheelchair, the year before he passed away... Coach Hose, Uncle Barry to many, was a friend to all, may he rest in peace!
Coach Mike Daum Coached Stallion's Football: 1991 to 1998 Served on Board of Directors: 1994 to 1998 Mike Daum was a friend to all, may he rest in peace.
Coach Steve Block Coached Stallion's Football from: 1989 to 1994 Served as Chairman of the Board: 1990 to 1993 Steve Block was a friend to all, may he rest in peace.
Coach Artie Schnabel Coached Stallion's Football from 1988 to 1994 Currently Head Coach: South Side H.S. JV Football-Baseball-Basketball South Side H.S. - All Conference: Football - Baseball
Coach Hank Van Well Coached Stallion's Football from 1989 to 1998. Served as Chairman of the Board of Directors 10 Years. Silver & Black Dedication!
Coach Jim Herold & Lori Herold Jim Coached Stallion's Football from
1991 to 1997. Both served actively on the Board of Directors and
dedicated a lot of time to Oceanside football!
Coach Ron Kraemer Ron coached Stallion's Football for 7 years He served on the Board of Directors as League Commissioner. Thanks for your dedication!
Chris Krevatos Chris Kevatos was one of the founders
of the Stallions back in the early 1950's. He recently passed on
at the age of 82. He was instrumental in helping hundreds upon hundreds
of young men initially at the Stallions and then later with CW Post
College as the head athletic trainer, nutritionist and defensive
coordinator of the football team. There is a movement a foot to
raise funds for a memorial for Chris. I would like to contact as
many Stallion alumni as possible to see if they would like to join
in on this effort. If you have records with names and addresses
of the alumni, especially those from the 50's and 60's, it would
be very helpful. I thank you in advance for anything that you can
do for us.

Coach Gary Viscio Coach Gary was a terrific coach and a friend to the entire Stallion's family. Our sympathies go out to his family. May he rest in peace.
